Since research often requires financial support, the Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund was created in 1996 to provide students funding for their projects.
CAS Students who have completed a research project and who have been accepted to present the results of that project at an external conference (i.e., a non-NYU conference) are eligible to apply for a DURF Conference Grant to receive funds to help them travel to and participate in that conference.
All expenses related to conference participation are eligible (e.g., abstract fee, conference registration, professional society membership). Applicants can receive up to $1,000 with a Conference Grant to help offset the cost of presenting their research.
Applicants should be students in the College of Arts and Science (please visit the DURF FAQ page for more information about eligibility).
